Does Your Man Need A Heads Up That You're Going Natural?

I personally think no woman should have to consult her boyfriend or husband on what she wants to do with her hair, surprise him girl. He shouldn't be able to say yes or no, he should simply be happy with whatever look you have. We all should be able to express ourselves freely without a man having a say.

1. Know Who You're Dealing With

Everyone is different. Some men are controlling, while others are care free. If he's the controlling type, or simply likes to be apart of your decisions; I definitely recommend you give him a heads up. Guys usually fall for the look they first saw you with. So especially if he likes long hair, you already know what his reaction will be to you deciding to cut it all off. Now if it doesn't matter to him but he at least likes to know when a big change is happening, for sure let him know so he can feel apart of the process. You know what they say: " A woman who is about to cut her hair is about to change her life. " And even if his preference is longer hair if that's a deal breaker for him, he has a lot of growing up to do and he's simply not the guy for you. He should be able to adjust or get over it eventually. He should be happy with however you wear your hair.

2. Let Him Know What You Plan To Do

Make sure you know it;'s something you want to do. If you're hesitant he might not respond well either. You must be firm in your delivery so he knows its something you really want, and if he has your best interest at heart he should be fine with it. Just relax and get straight to the point. Now if you know he's not going to be happy about it, be sensitive about his feelings but still be firm in delivery, you should never let him think he has a choice in how you wear your hair. Going natural is a choice, not just made on looks or a trend, but its a healthier option. And he should respect your decision despite how he feels.

3. Don't Let Him Change You're Mind

No matter What stick to your guns and if you must, then explain the reasons why you've made your decision so he can have an understanding of his own. And if he doesn't want to hear you out, then it has become a pointless conversation. And run as fast as you can if he gives you an ultimatum. Your hair, your choice.

4. Do What Makes You Happy

You are old enough to make your own decisions, and something so simple as a new hairstyle shouldn't causes your man to have a meltdown, and if it does it a problem and only you will know how to deal with him. Your man should love your hair long or short. You are not your hair and you do not need his approval. but if you must let him know, go ahead, just make sure to do what makes you happy!
