Did It Feel Like Christmas For The Adults?

I'm going to have to say no. The older we get the less we feel the holiday cheer. Nothing is wrong with that. Its hard to have that same energy as a child especially if you know you won't get as much as a child would. And although that's not the reason for the season it's hard not to feel a bit left out.
Christmas is actually my favorite holiday and around that time I'm usually a mess to deal with. It didn't feel like Christmas until I broke out my hat, started listening to few songs a few days before. And even with all that effort, I wasn't really feeling it until Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day was a great day for me though. It really felt like Christmas by then. My boyfriends family sure does know how to ring in Christmas and that was when I finally felt the spirit. I wasn't as prepared as I usually am around this time gift wise, so that's probably why I wasn't as excited as usual. For me, Christmas is one of the happiest times of the year. No one is negative, being mean or rude. Everyone is giving to each other, sharing the love they receive on that in that time and spending time with their loved ones. How can anyone not be happy on Christmas? There's just so much to be thankful for and happy about that it's overwhelming.
So although we're adults now and we might not feel the holiday cheer right away, it's so infection we cannot help but be happy the nearer it gets! I hope everyone's Christmas was as amazing as mines!
